G76 returns to Playedby with the single-sided picture disc EP L5S1, following his debut LP A World Without Mirrors. The producer is known for his distinctive approach to sound, resulting in a deeply original work of art.

L5S1 refers to a section of the spine often subjected to excessive biomechanical stress. The track connects emotion and vulnerability through associative, algorithmic structures, revealing the producer’s inner states in sonic form.

While struggling with severe back pain during production, G76 transformed his physical suffering into sound. The resulting composition translates that voice of pain into powerful arrangements — chords that are immersive and insistent, underpinned by a bassline capable of moving both body and mind.

Cote’s influence on the imprint adds another layer of artistic value, as Playedby continues to pursue a multidisciplinary vision. The music is accompanied by a visual statement: the vinyl is fully printed with a stylized, noise-textured MRI scan of the L5S1 region.

It’s clear why Playedby chose to release this one-sided EP. With L5S1, G76 reaffirms his place as an artist whose work feels instantly timeless.
