The third instalment of the Steamy Pizza Box series sees label boss Valerio Vaudano return with Diggin’ In My Soul EP, drawing inspiration from 90s US House while blending classic influences with a contemporary approach.

Continuing the label’s analogue philosophy, every track was produced using a 90s sampler, with no computers involved. “The Sax Is Mine” opens with a US Garage-inspired groove, vocal hooks and unmistakable New York influences, followed by “Awww Get”, a driving House cut built around Valerio’s signature Lately bass, punchy stabs and chopped vocals.

On the flip, the title track channels a Chicago House spirit through smooth grooves, emotional pads and a deep bassline. “Nylon Feelings” shifts toward a more modern sound, combining a relentless groove, Juno bassline, organ riffs and mysterious vocal elements. Closing the EP, the “Clap-Appella” version of “Nylon Feelings” offers a DJ-friendly tool to round off the release.
