ARMA returns with the long-awaited vinyl release of Second Device by Sladazj, the darker, more cinematic project of Luke Wyatt.

Luke Wyatt created Sladazj as a place for beat-driven cinematic downshift. These were darker doorways than Torn Hawk could step through. Beyond the arches were Sladazj’s favorite landscapes. We’re talking hovercrafts buzzing over dark marshes as Zartan the bad guy from GI Joe changes faces and plays cards with the guy who swings the cinder block on the axe handle. Cinders and ashes, axes and unbelievers. ‘Second Device’ is the second real long-form proving ground for these moves, the second ash pit. Sladazj is the prince of the pit.

Across seven tracks, the album further develops Wyatt’s singular vision, combining atmospheric electronics, slow-burning rhythms and cinematic sound design. Moving through imagined environments and fragmented narratives, Second Device expands the world of Sladazj while remaining firmly rooted in its dark and immersive character.
