San Dee and TMD team up for Watif EP, launching Command Center Records’ vinyl catalog with a four-track release moving through Deep House, Minimal House and Broken Beat. Founded in Miami in 2019, Command Center operates as a collective, independent label and boutique online shop, supporting a broad range of sounds within the local dance music community.
The original ‘Watif’ sets the foundation with sub-heavy kicks, rolling basslines, layered drum machine textures and analog synths. Adam Collins contributes two remixes: the first takes a deeper, rhythmically broken direction with sharp hi-hats, while his ‘Top Down Mix’ shifts toward a groovy Detroit Electro-House feel.
‘Listening Minds’ rounds out the EP with a more cosmic atmosphere, built around spacious textures and a recurring voice instructing the listener to ‘Listen.’
