Dexter – Tangent Boy

Description

Dexter – Tangent Boy // Endell Street – ES08

UK Tech House pioneer Dexter makes his debut on Endell Street with a release firmly rooted in the history of London’s underground Tech House scene.

‘Tangent Boy’ has circulated for years as a closely guarded club weapon, passed between DJs within the London underground, and now receives its first-ever vinyl release. On the flip, the sought-after ‘Funk Warped’ returns in newly remastered form, retaining the grit of the original while bringing its analog edge into sharper focus.

Drawing on the dub-tech traditions of early London, both tracks are built around restraint, groove and functional sound design, capturing a formative strand of UK Tech House from an artist closely connected to its development.
